There are 12 activity badges, 6 challenge badges and 6 staged activity badges. These are worked on within meetings as part of our balanced programme of activities. The colony will normally complete 3 badges per term.

Staged activity badges can also be achieved for swimming, music and IT. These can be completed by Beavers who attend privately arranged swimming lessons, music lessons or those undertaking IT at school. The requirements for each are available by following the links above; the form should be completed by your child’s teacher and returned to a leader.

The cost of badges is included within the subs, please note however that replacement badges are charged for and can only be ordered at the end of each term. If you think your child may have missed being presented with a badge due to absence, please contact here in the first instance.

Chief Scout Bronze Award

The Chief Scouts Bronze Award – This badge is the highest award available in the Beaver Scout Section. It can be gained when a Beaver is aged between 7.5 and 8 years old, and can by completed via 2 different routes:

1. By taking up a new hobby or interest which is regularly practiced for 6 weeks and then undertaking a short presentation or display to the Beaver colony.

2. By completing the following challenge badges.
